Dentures and partials
A denture replaces all of your teeth in an arch; a partial replaces some. For people who are missing teeth and want to chew and smile with more ease.

What happens
Step by step
Usually four to six visits over several weeks, made in a dental lab Dr. Briones works with.
- 01
Step 1: A talk
What you want, what your mouth needs, and the options, including the ones we don't provide.
- 02
Step 2: Impressions and measurements
If a tooth has to come out first, Dr. Briones plans that with you.
- 03
Step 3: A trial fitting
You check the look and the bite before the final set is made.
- 04
Step 4: The finished set, then adjustments
We adjust as often as needed while you get used to it.
Good to know
Comfort, waiting, risks and cost
Comfort
New dentures often feel loose or sore at first. Tell us where, and we'll adjust them. Ask about relines as your gums change.
If you wait
Teeth next to a gap can shift, and chewing gets harder. Some people stop eating foods they like.
Risks and after-care
Sore spots, a change in how you speak for a few weeks, and changes in your gums and jaw over time that mean a denture needs relining or replacing. Call us if a sore spot lasts more than a few days.
How it's billed
Not in the yearly fee. You get a written estimate with the member fee on it before we start. If you prefer implants, we refer you to a dentist who places them.
How fees work
Questions
Questions about dentures and partials
Can I eat normally with dentures?
Most people start with soft foods and work up. We'll tell you what to try first.
How do I clean them?
Brush them daily and soak them overnight, as Dr. Briones shows you at your fitting.
Can a broken denture be repaired?
Often. Bring it in, and we'll tell you what can be done and what it costs, in writing.
Provided by a general dentist
Your care is provided by Dr. Graciela Briones, a general dentist. Ask for a visit, and get the fee in writing first.
