Questions

Questions people ask us

Do you take my insurance?

We don't contract with dental insurance companies. We give you an itemized receipt you can send to a plan that reimburses out-of-network care; the plan decides. The fees page has the details.

What if I don't have insurance?

Most of our patients don't. You can pay for each visit or join the club, and you get a written estimate before any treatment.

Do you accept Medicare or Medicaid?

No. We aren't enrolled with Medicare, Medicaid or CHIP, so we can't bill them. Ask your plan whether it pays a dentist outside its network.

Will it hurt?

We numb the area before we start, and you can ask for a break any time. Tell us what you feel and we'll change what we're doing.

How often do I need X-rays and a cleaning?

Dr. Briones decides after your exam. Some people need them more often than others, and she tells you why.

What is a deep cleaning?

A cleaning below the gumline, for when the gums show signs of disease. Dr. Briones explains why she recommends it and quotes it in writing first.

Do you see children?

No, this is an adult practice. We can suggest a dentist who sees children.

What counts as a dental emergency, and what do I do first?

Swelling that spreads to your face or neck, trouble breathing or swallowing, or bleeding that won't stop: go to an emergency room or call 911. For a broken tooth or a toothache, call us. We'll tell you when we can see you.

Do you offer sedation?

No. We use local numbing only. If you'd need more than that, we refer you to a dentist who provides it.

Can I get a written estimate before treatment?

Yes, always. It lists each step and its fee, and you can take it home.

Do you speak Spanish?

Yes. Dr. Briones and Noe speak Spanish, and every page of this site is in Spanish too.

How do I cancel or change a visit?

Call or text us as early as you can, so someone else can have the time.

  • Swelling that spreads to your face, eye or neck, trouble breathing or swallowing, a serious blow to the head, or bleeding that won't stop needs emergency care now. Go to an emergency room or call 911. If a tooth is knocked out or broken, call our office right away.

Still have a question?

Call, or send a request and Noe will get back to you. Please leave out health details.
